Conroe ISD
Director of Athletics/Physical Education and Health

  •  Assisted in the planning and opening of a new 6A High School which opened in August 2018

  • Provide support for High School principals in securing campus athletic directors for five 6A high schools and one 5A high school

  • Facilitate the scheduling of 6 High Schools and 7 middle schools in all sports

  • Staff and Direct employees at two 10,000 seat stadiums for all UIL and NCAA events

  • Staff and Direct Olympic size competitive swim facility consisting of over 30 employees

  • Coordinate with Planning and Construction life cycles of track replacements, turf field replacements, tennis courts, and scoreboards district wide

  • Assisted in the planning and opening of 2 Jr. High Schools

  • Collaborated with City of Shenandoah in the securing of the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving National Championship

  • Collaborated with City of Shenandoah and hosted the 2018 2019 NCAA Division III Football National Championships

  •  Lone Star Cup Champions 2016-17 2017-18 2020-21 The Woodlands High School

  • Facilitated the district purchase of two Daktronics jumbo-trons and two Natatorium scoreboards with outside advertising at no cost to taxpayers

  • Assisted in securing 60,000 dollars in grants for the First Tee Foundation

  • Oversee all scheduling of community groups requests for district athletic facility usage

  • Mitigated athletic activities during COVID 19 2020 Pandemic

2003-2011

Tyler ISD
Director of Athletics/District Leadership Team

  • Negotiated the first and largest naming rights contract in the nation for a high school stadium Trinity Mother Frances Rose Stadium

  • Collaborated with leadership team in assessing and planning a three phase multi-million-dollar bond package with phase 1 successfully completed in August of 2008

  • Collaborated with Director of Secondary in class scheduling of 6 middle schools and two 5A high Schools

  • Created and implemented, in conjunction with Smith County and the City of Tyler, a strategic plan for community use of all district facilities including cafeterias, auditoriums and outdoor facilities

  • Increased partnership with local merchants through implementation of Trinity Mother Frances Football Classic

  • Secured private non-tax dollars to provide structural improvements to Trinity Mother Frances Rose Stadium

  •  Secured a substantial Fitness Grant for three socio-economically at-risk middle schools to combat child-hood obesity

  • Implemented Athletic Academic Intervention through use of data analysis through DMAC to improve achievement in all schools

  • Directed and implemented development of health and P.E. curriculum K-12

  • Developed and chaired Tyler ISD School Health Advisory Council in compliance with Senate Bill 19

  • Served as Tyler ISD district liaison for Smith County East Texas Fair Grounds Committee

  • Tyler Leadership Team Representative for Tyler Chamber of Commerce Sport Tyler Committee
